Today we visited the Technical University of Zvolen and visited colleagues of Elizabeth's. We made reservations to visit the High Tetras next week. We drove north of Zvolen to Banska Bystrica, a city of about 100,000. We toured a mall, three levels and very similar to Southcentre or Chinook, then toured the old part of town. We visited the National Museum of the Slovak Uprising and ended with dinner at a very nice restaurant.

Since retirement in July 2015, I have taken up photography as a hobby. I take my camera with me most times I am out walking or travelling. I love capturing the moment. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. To view best quality, click on each picture.

Uncle Dave wonderful pictures of the old country - FYI for driving around on the highways ... the locals have an ethos that if there is room for two cars there is room for three! Experienced this several times on highway travel and not at convenient areas to make room but some how it works. The Tatras are amazing!!
