Since retirement in July 2015, I have taken up photography as a hobby. I take my camera with me most times I am out walking or travelling. I love capturing the moment. Today I photographed a Bald Eagle dining on an unlucky Mallard Duck for breakfast.
On a sand bar in the middle of the Bow River with lots of Magpies waiting for the leftovers
He takes off with his catch to a tree on the other side of the river
Another Bald Eagle is watching in the same tree
Here he is with Mallard hanging below. If you look closely there is a Magpie again waiting for leftovers.
Very out of focus but he suddenly takes off again.....
....with breakfast, looking for a more private place to dine.
