Since retirement in July 2015, I have taken up photography as a hobby. I take my camera with me most times I am out walking or travelling. I love capturing the moment. Sightings of a Great Egret in Calgary have been reported by local birders so I headed up to the 68th Street Wetlands by Elliston Park this morning.
I was not disappointed. This is extremely rare for this bird to be in Calgary, should be on the coast of Oregon and California. It's GPS must have malfunctioned :)
